IT is better to contribute to a meaningful charity, in the name of the person you are planning to send a gift, or clebrate a birthday or an anniversary event. We accept PLEDGES of donations. Donations wpould be collected ONLY WHEN we have to pay a shippers invoice or some expense. Then we notify the pledge-holders. You can honour your pledge by e-mail from your internet banking site.
Send your secret question to wc4sl@yahoo.ca, and then your answer and the amount of your pledge by e-mail via your on-line banking set up. If the electronic transfer asks for a name as well, you are welcome to use the name: Chandre Dharma-wardana.

• We are not an incorporated institution as that costs about $500-750 annually to reserve the name in the province, and then a separate incorporation for the whole country. If a pledge is honoured it becomes a donation. We cannot get charitable status as we do our charity outside Canada and send the goods specifically to Sri Lanka.
• How to honour your pledge: either use e-mail to wc4sl@yahoo.ca, or write your cheques to: fund-raiser's name with wc4sl marked on it,  e.g., Nanadana Gajanayake (wc4sl).
• We acknowledge your pledges and donation on this webpage., and will not send a receipt unless you ask for it (it is no good for a tax credit).
